I love to cook. I mean, LOVE to cook! Food is for sure my love language! If I love you, I'm going to feed you! My nephew recently asked me for one of my recipes, and I started looking for a place to house all of my favorites to share with my family and friends. Nothing was exactly what I was looking for. So, I decided to design what I wanted and
THE Sunny Sutton
was born!

I don't know about you, but I hate having to sift through someone's life story to get to a recipe. So, I'm doing things a little differently. I will always post the recipe first, then tell you about its history, my tricks, and anything else that might be going on that day! If you know me at all, you know the only thing I love more than food is a good story!

When you eat, you eat with your eyes first. I revel in pretty plating! I want to include my creations in their most beautiful, delicious form! They say a picture is worth a thousand words! Look for portraits to appear with each post! This should also help you decipher if your version turned out "right."

Be brave! I hear people all of the time say "I can't cook!" or "I can't bake!" Yes, you can. I promise! My favorite foods are pretty simple, which means that their recipes are also pretty simple! If you make something and don't like it, just don't make it again! Take your time, and always read the recipe before you start! I find it helpful to get most of the prep out of the way before I start cooking. Once the heat is on, well, the heat is on so to speak!

Preparing a meal is such a gesture of love in my world. You can do that for your family and friends, of course, and you can also do it for yourself! Self love is important, and that means taking the time to nourish your body with delicious, homemade meals. You absolutely deserve it and you're totally worth it!
